Are You or A Loved One Struggling with Alcohol Addiction? We’re Here to Help
NBRC provides a comfortable way to detox from alcohol in an Outpatient setting. Alcohol withdrawal can cause intense symptoms especially if you are a heavier drinker. Our Outpatient Alcohol Detox Program allows you to safely detox by having experienced staff members monitor your symptoms each day. We also offer alternative therapies during detox to ensure the entire body, mind, and spirit is also being treated for long-term recovery.
We Address the Three Primary Areas of Alcohol Withdrawal
Management of withdrawal symptoms
Alcohol withdrawal is managed with the use of various medications that are available for addiction medicine. Patients are kept comfortable throughout the entire detox process.
Cravings
The cravings for alcohol can be extremely intense during the withdrawal process. NBRC utilizes a host of the latest anti-craving medications. Certain combinations of medications can provide a powerful blockade of the craving cycle. In some cases the use of Antabuse (gets you very sick if you drink) may be appropriate as a deterrent to stop drinking.
Restoration
The chronic use of alcohol can produce a vitamin B1 deficiency that can be very dangerous and result in memory loss. Restoration is accomplished by a powerful combination of vitamin B-12, B-Complex, Folic Acid and other various amino acids. Some medications are oral, some are by injection. Coaching and counseling is provided every step of the way.
Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms
Alcohol withdrawal symptoms may occur from suddenly stopping the use of alcohol after chronic or prolonged ingestion. This can be very dangerous and could possibly lead to a seizure or worse. Not everyone who stops drinking experiences withdrawal symptoms, but most people who have been drinking for a long period of time, drink frequently, or drink heavily when they do drink, will experience some form of withdrawal symptoms if they stop suddenly. In many cases, going “cold turkey” may result in serious health risks including the possibility of seizures and coma. These are some of the symptoms that may occur during alcohol withdrawal:

Skin Clammy |
Sweating |
Hand Tremors |
Nausea |
Confusion |
Vomiting |
Hallucinations |
Loss of Appetite |
Delirium Tremens |

Ongoing Outpatient Alcohol Treatment Programs Available
Alcohol detox is the first step to alcohol recovery. The next step is on-going alcohol treatment where our addiction professionals can identify causes and consequences of alcohol abuse with an evaluation. To prepare you for long-term alcohol recovery, we need to address triggers, and we start to understand triggers by evaluating your history and determining root causes of the addiction. From there, you will be able to attend a customized alcohol treatment program that will include ongoing therapies and education that will help you develop new ways to overcome alcohol triggers.
