Restoration Program Addresses Substance Abuse And Nutrition

For many people who are actively using drugs and alcohol, proper nutrition takes a back seat. In the case of someone who has had a substance abuse issue for a number of years, he or she may not have been eating a balanced diet for some time. Our Restoration Program includes vitamins and minerals from the outset to help replace the nutrients lost during the period of substance abuse.

Individual Evaluation And Amino Acid Restoration

All clients who come to use for the Restore Program start by undergoing a medical evaluation and lab testing so that we can determine what their individual needs are. Each person receives a minimum of three weeks of personalized treatment. We understand that each person is unique, and that substances affect every user differently. During this phase, clients start the basic oral supplement program, which is designed to start improving both cellular and stomach function.

All clients receive a minimum of three personalized IV amino acid restoration treatments per week for a minimum of three weeks. Once this phase is completed, another set of lab tests is performed to determine what the oral maintenance protocol should be. This includes oral amino acids, as well as personalized medical recommendations to lower the risk of relapse.

Co-Occurring Disorders: Which Came First For You, Mental Illness Or Addiction?

People who have substance abuse issues are at higher risk of developing a mental health issue, and a significant number of people living with mental health concerns also struggle with addictions. When a person has a mental illness and an addiction, it is referred to as the client having a co-occurring disorder or dual-diagnosis.

When Mental Illness Symptoms Appear First

Which Came First For You, Mental Illness Or Addiction - NewBeginningsIn some situations, a person will develop symptoms of a mental illness and start using drugs and/or alcohol as a way to try to manage their symptoms. This type of self-medication may help to make them feel better temporarily, but it does nothing to treat the underlying illness.

A person who feels anxious may be drawn toward a downer like opiates or alcohol, since they have a sedating effect. Someone who is depressed may start using cocaine or amphetamines to boost his or her mood.

The substances may help the person to feel “better” for a time, but then end up making them feel worse and more anxious or depressed. Once he or she develops a tolerance for the substance, the problem becomes having to take more and more of the substance to get the desired effect. Drugs and alcohol can also interfere with the way the brain chemistry works and only ends up compounding a mental health concern.

When The Addiction Develops First

It is possible for some people to develop symptoms of a mental illness only after they start using drugs or alcohol. For example, chemical changes can occur in the brain in people who use. These changes could lead to episodes of a mental health issue that can last long after one stops using. Drugs and alcohol can also bring an underlying mental illness to the surface in some people.

Brand New Natural Detox Option- Restore Neuroreceptor Restoration Program

The brand new Restore Neurotransmitter Restoration Program™ is designed to complement a traditional medical detoxification and replenish what the body lacks after an addiction. This series of IV’s infused with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids allows the body to restore to order many internal systems that go haywire over the course of an addiction.Palm Beach Gardens, Florida– New Beginnings Recovery Center has been a leader in the addiction treatment field in South Florida for over 8 years. They have now launched a new program that promises to change the standard for outpatient detoxification. iStock_000014948108XSmall The Restore Program is based on the knowledge that amino acids are building blocks for proteins and the precursors for neurotransmitter production.   Neurotransmitters are brain chemicals that communicate information throughout our brain and body.  As a result, the brain sends out urgent messages of cravings that can lead to a frustrating cycle of relapse. The IV infusion therapy seeks to correct that deficiency and restore your body to balance. The Restore program is not a “cure” for addiction.  It allows your brain to have a balanced neurochemistry level, while it’s trying to restore order to the body. Balancing out these aspects of your brain chemistry boosts your mood and mental clarity during your journey towards recovery.  This program can jump start your recovery and help give you the best possible starting place for your new dependency free life.
