New Beginnings Recovery Center (NBRC) offers an outpatient Methadone detox program for those dependent on methadone. Since methadone is an opiate, we follow similar methods of detoxification as our Opiate Detox Program. We have become specialists in methadone detox, for this drug presents its own set of unique characteristics that make it a challenge to walk from. Whether prescribed for pain or if you are enrolled in a maintenance program, NBRC can help you become free of this dependency. Methadone detoxification is now much easier than you ever thought possible!
Detoxification from methadone poses additional issues that require an experienced and knowledgeable medical staff. NBRC has the staff, knowledge, experience and ability to detox methadone patients on an Out-Patient basis at a faster rate and more comfortably than ever before. Methadone detox takes longer than short acting opiates such as heroin, oxycodone, Vicodin® or Lorcet®.
Methadone Detox Treatment Methods
NBRC utilizes various methods to manage methadone withdrawal symptoms to make the entire detoxification process as comfortable as it can possibly be. Having successfully detoxed hundreds of patients in recent years, our finely tuned medication and treatment protocols are extremely refined and highly effective. Let’s just say we have it down to a “science”. Keeping patients comfortable throughout the entire detox process is our main priority. We do this by utilizing a number of extremely effective medications and treatment methods listed below.
Here are some of the ways we manage your Methadone withdrawal symptoms:
- The use of Suboxone® may be used to manage opiate cravings and withdrawal symptoms
- We use medications to reduce insomnia, reduce constipation, reduce anxiety, reduce cramps, reduce nausea and pain
- The use of various amino acids to promote neurotransmitter restoration that will ultimately reduce and shorten the Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS) period
- We address what has been depleted in the body during methadone dependency with a highly targeted oral and injected vitamin and supplement regimen to jump start the healing and promote overall well being
- A highly effective optional program offering individual and group therapy, recovery coaching
- Naltrexone® therapy may be used to block opiates and methadone and reduce cravings.
- A caring and attentive staff that strives to serve our most precious asset – YOU!
The most valuable service we can offer to methadone addicted patients is the “hand holding” that takes place from the beginning to the end of the entire detox process. Many patients have stated that this invaluable coaching is what made the difference between success and failure in their detox journey.
On-Going Methadone Addiction Treatment Options
Every patient is expected to undergo an initial psychiatric evaluation which is included with your detox program. A lot of times, mental illness can be the main reason for addiction in the first place. We want to make sure we fully understand what your addiction triggers are so we can develop a customized treatment plan for you. If mental illness is one of the triggers, we will make sure psychiatric services are included in your on-going addiction treatment program.
After this evaluation is completed, our addiction specialists will develop an on-going Methadone addiction treatment program that suits your needs to become successful in long term recovery. This is not required, but it is highly recommended to continue outpatient treatment after detox is complete. We use a variety of Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies in our on-going programs as well as other proven effective therapies.
The Methadone Detox Program Has the Option to Add:
Integrative Detox Programs
The NBRC Integrative Detox Programs combine traditional detox medicine and Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapy including our Restore Neurotransmitter Restoration Program™. The CAM therapies utilized at NBRC have proven scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness. Our Integrative Detox Program patients enjoy an accelerated healing and restoration of the brain’s neurotransmitter sites damaged by addiction. This in turn results in a significant reduction in withdrawal symptoms typically associated with detoxification. In fact, patients report that they experience fewer symptoms, lesser severity and a faster recovery. Click here for more info. |
Restore Neurotransmitter Restoration Program™
The NBRC Restore Neurotransmitter Restoration Program™ is an IV and Oral Supplement Amino Acid, Vitamin and Mineral repletion Program. This program provides a quicker and more thorough restoration of nutritional and neurotransmitter function to help alleviate many of the symptoms of the drug or alcohol withdrawal syndrome and restore deficient nutritional conditions that typically come with substance dependencies.
