New Beginnings Recovery Center offers world-class outpatient detoxification services for those looking for opiate withdrawal help. Our medical professionals utilize a combination of medications that address opiates withdrawal symptoms, including any cravings. New Beginnings’ tried-and-true program has helped hundreds of patients safely and comfortably detox from a multitude of opiate drugs.
Early symptoms of opiate use start within 24 hours after one has stopped using the drug, including:
- Anxiety
- Muscle Aches
- Restlessness
- Runny Nose
- Watery eyes
More intense symptoms may manifest more than a day after opiate use, and the individual may experience them for up to 72 hours. Those possible symptoms include:
- Abdominal cramping
- Blurred vision
- Diarrhea
- High blood pressure
- Nausea
- Rapid heartbeat
- Vomiting
Opiate Use Can Lead to Addiction
Since opiates can bring both pain relief and a feeling of pleasure to the user, they carry a high risk of abuse and even dependence. Many can be obtained by a doctor’s prescription, but some users begin to abuse the dosage recommendation and even get more pills through non-prescribed channels. Opiate use over a prolonged period of time can alter the nerve cells in the brain and stop the production of endorphins, the body’s natural painkiller. Before long, the user develops a physical dependence on the drug. If he or she suddenly stops using, strong withdrawals will emerge, and the individual will likely seek out more of the drug, soon to reach a state of addiction.
Opiate Detox Program Overview
New Beginnings Recovery Center’s main priority throughout the opiate detox process is to keep patients comfortable. We do this by utilizing a finely tuned system of highly effective medications and treatment methods.
If the patient is in a state of opiate withdrawal when they come to our office, they are promptly medicated during the intake process. Our medical staff may use Suboxone® and Subutex® to manage opiate withdrawal symptoms and cravings. We then use medications that address insomnia, constipation, reduce anxiety, reduce leg and stomach cramps, reduce nausea and manage opiate withdrawal pain and cravings. Naltrexone® may be used to block opiates and reduce cravings in post-detox treatment.
We also offer a Suboxone® or a non-Suboxone® accelerated opiate detox program.
Our medical staff addresses what has been depleted in the patient’s body during the entire opiate usage period by implementing a highly targeted oral vitamin, amino acid and supplement regimen. Complex vitamin injections jumpstart the healing process and promote overall well-being.

Psychiatric Evaluation Included
New Beginnings offers a variety of psychiatric services, such as initial evaluation and follow-up treatment. Our psychiatric services are extended to dual diagnosis (co-occurring disorder) patients. Frequently, mental health disorders exist alongside, and in some cases fuel, substance dependency. Therefore, our talented clinicians utilize methods such as psychotherapy, bio-feedback therapy, hypnosis therapy and medication management when working with dual diagnosis patients. That means those that struggle with conditions such as depression or anxiety, or any other co-occurring disorder, have the opportunity to get both their substance dependency and underlying psychiatric issues treated concurrently at New Beginnings.
All patients enrolled in a program at New Beginnings have the option of a no-cost psychiatric evaluation – performed by a board-certified psychiatric clinician – in addition to the basic services of each program. We also offer ongoing psychiatric services to each of our patients, no matter which program they’re participating in at New Beginnings.
